Recently we decided it was about time we had a small crane to assist us when putting the 15hp outboard motor onto the dinghy. So as usual Tom did a lot of research taking photos and measurements of a number of different cranes on the yachts here in Rebak Marina.
Then he set to work on the drawings for the crane. We were going to have it made in Phuket but because we had to wait for the new sail and Tom had discovered that the correct gauge stainless steel was available in Langkawi he decided to have it done there. Tom took a number of trips into the shop so he could assist and watch over the production of the crane!
Then today we moved Hamamas to the work dock so the boys from Your Way Stainless Steel could weld on the new crane. The boys (and Tom of course) did a pretty good job. In fact we think it looks like it's always been there!
By the way. As you can see from Tom's shirt, it was a very hot steamy day.
