On 8 Oct 2010 we weighed anchor from outside the Malaka Marina and headed towards Port Dickson 40 nm away. On the way we had to dodge long lines of fishing nets. The fishermen would stand up in the boats and wave us around the nets.It was frustrating as it took us out of the way and made the trip to Port Dickson longer than it should have been. We judged that one of the nets could have been about 1 /1/2 nm long!

Being Guided Around the Nets |
We were all tucked up in the pretty Admiral Marina at Port Dickson by 3.30pm.

Our first challenge was to find the Immigration building. We were sent all over tiny Port Dickson trying to find it so we did a little sight seeing on the way.
We were amused to see that the Hindi Temple was directly behing the Chinese temple!

A Tiny Mosque
Port Dickson is only tiny but it certainly has a varierty of religious buildings. It also has a 16 km long beach stretching to Cape Rachado that has a variety of resorts to choose from. Although the beaches with their red to grey/white sands are nothing to write home about as far as we are concerned! However the tourists flock there in droves.
