You really know winter is here when you are:
*searching for the electric heater
*hunting for your thermals, fleece and down jackets and woolie scarves and hats,
*packing away the summer gear,
*realizing it's too cold to BBQ and cooking casseroles and soups,
*wearing wet weather gear to the shower block,
*showering at 4pm and it is dark at 5pm
*deciding to drink warm beer,
*seeing most of the boats in the marina being moved to the hard standing area,
*noticing that there are no more pirate ships in the cove as they are on the hardstand too,
*realising that all the POMS and European are going home,
*starting to book flights to warmer climes!
