Fran needed a copy of her Passport certified by a JP (Justice of the Peace). Here in Turkey a JP is called a Notery. So we thought it would be easy to just pop into the Notery Office in Alanya and have it signed. But NO first we had to have the Passport translated into Turkish so that the Notery knew what she was signing!
Fortunately the Translator was in the same office today so it was easy enough except we had to pay him 60 (Turkish Lira-about $30 AUD) and the Noterery 56 TL (about 28AUD). A JP service is FREE in Australia!
