In August we had a wonderful day out with Mr and Mrs Albert when they kindly took us to to the Borneo Tropical Rainforest Resort near the Lambir Hills National Park about 20 km from Miri .

First of all Albert took us to the local market to buy some local fruit and then we drove to the spectacular Lambir hills to the resort where we had lunch at the wonderful restaurant.

We were then shown all over the area. This included the plank walks, the dragon fruit farm, the palm oil forests and a boat ride on the artificial lake where there is a fish farm.

Albert then collected some ferns from his ranger friends. Later, we were driven back to Miri for a visit to Albert's home before we were dropped back at the marina.
