Cruising -Dry Dock to Mactan Is-The Philippines -2008

Oct 2008
We left Hamamas safely tucked up in Pepe's Yard while we flew back to Australia for a couple of months. We saw all our family when we were in Australia in June as we travelled from Brisbane to Hobart.

When we came back from Australia we excitedly prepared Hamamas for the next big leg of our journey. Our plan was to sail south and west through the Philippines to Palawan Island then  head south to Kudat in Sabah for an antifoul. Afterwards we planned to sail to Brunei,Sarawak, Singapore and Malaysia for a fun cruising yea
So It was with tears in our eyes we said our goodbyes to all the great gang at Dry Dock and set sail Mactan Island near Cebu City.
While there we refulled and provisioned. We also had new sun covers made, the sails overhauled and we enthusiastically washed and polished the hull and  the scrubbed the teak deck.

The day before we were due to leave Fran had an exciting little adventure when she was asked to be in a movie being produced by a student from the local Film School.  (Refer to "Fran's Movie Star Adventure" in "Tall and Not so Tall Tales" on the Side bar).
