Miri- School Preparedness Program- Malaysia Oct 2009

In 24 Oct 2009 we assisted in a Mercy Malysia educational program at one of the small schools in the Subis district about an hours drive from Miri in Sarawak. The "School Preparedness Program"  is designed to educate the child about actions that should be taken in the case of emergencies such as fire and flood. Many of the childrens homes in the villages are wooden and often close to rivers and are  therefore prone to fire and floods as are the school buildings. The programme is a fun activity based one about a serious problem. (Remember to click on the photos to enlarge them)
