A Day in the North West Highlands, Scotland, 2013

5 May 2013
Today was to be another round trip mostly driving day through the north, west highlands of Scotland which are renowned for spectacular scenery.

So after a hearty Scottish breakfast we set off from Invergordon towards Loch Maree, Loch Ewe, Inverewe Gardens and Gruinard Bay. We were certainly not disappointed with the scenery nor the rhododendrons at the Gardens.

However,  after such a long day we were all pleased to return to Invergordon where we enjoyed a great meal at the local hotel and then headed back to our hosts home.
